1. ABOUT THIS POLICY
1.1 Scope. This Cookie Policy explains how Pipeway, LLC ("Pipeway", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.getpipeway.com (the "Website") and in the Pipeway mobile application (the "App").
1.2 Related documents. This policy forms part of our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information more generally, and should be read with our Terms and Conditions.
2. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE
2.1 Cookies. Cookies are small text files that a website places on your browser so it can recognize your browser later.
2.2 Similar technologies. Websites and apps also use other technologies that store or read information on your device, such as browser local storage, mobile app storage, software development kits ("SDKs") supplied by third parties, device identifiers and tracking pixels in emails. In this policy, "cookies" includes these technologies unless we say otherwise.
2.3 Strictly necessary and optional technologies. Some technologies are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, such as keeping you signed in. Others are optional, such as advertising or cross-site tracking technologies. In many countries, including those in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, optional technologies require your consent.
3. OUR POSITION IN SUMMARY
3.1 No advertising or tracking cookies. At the Effective Date, we do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, cross-site tracking technologies or third-party analytics cookies on the Website, and the App contains no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.
3.2 What we do use. We use the hosting and privacy-friendly analytics technologies and the browser local storage described in Section 4 on the Website, and the device storage and service SDKs described in Section 5 in the App. Each is either strictly necessary to provide the Services or, in the case of Anonymous Benchmarking, switched off unless you turn it on.
3.3 Consent banner. Because the Website does not currently set optional cookies, it does not display a cookie consent banner. If we introduce optional cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first where the law requires.

4.2 Vercel Web Analytics. Vercel Web Analytics helps us understand which pages are visited and how visitors reach the Website. Vercel states that it does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. We do not link this information to your email address or to the App.
4.3 Campaign tags in links. Some links on the Website and in our emails contain campaign tags in the web address, sometimes called UTM parameters, that show which page or email a link came from. They describe the link, not you, and are not stored in a cookie. If you submit a signup form, the campaign tags in the link you arrived through are saved with your signup, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4.4 Embedded and linked content. The Website links to third-party services, such as Google Sheets and the Apple App Store. When you follow those links, the third party may set its own cookies under its own policies, which we do not control.
4.5 Leak calculator. When you use the leak calculator on the Website, the figures you type in are saved in your browser's local storage so that they are still there when you come back. No cookie is set, the figures are not sent to us or to any third party, and we do not use them to identify or track you. The storage is used only to provide the calculator you are using, and you can remove it at any time as described in Section 7.1.
5. TECHNOLOGIES IN THE APP
5.1 On-device storage. The App stores your activity, sales data, goals and settings on your device so that it works offline and opens quickly. This storage is strictly necessary for the App to function. It is removed when you use "Delete all data" or delete the App.
5.2 Sign-in session. If you sign in, the App stores a secure session token on your device, issued through our authentication provider, Supabase, so that you stay signed in and your data can sync. This is strictly necessary.
5.3 Sign-in SDKs. If you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, the relevant provider's sign-in technology is used to authenticate you, under that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
5.4 Subscription SDK. The App includes the RevenueCat SDK, which uses your account identifier or a random identifier for your installation to confirm whether your Pipeway subscription or free trial is active. This is strictly necessary to provide the App's features and is not used for advertising.
5.5 Anonymous Benchmarking identifier. If, and only if, you turn on Anonymous Benchmarking, the App creates a random identifier for your installation and uses it to send the de-identified benchmarking, product-usage and share records described in the Privacy Policy. Turning the setting off stops this collection.
5.6 Microphone and files. The App accesses your microphone only when you record a voice log, and your files or photos only when you choose a document to import, each with your device's permission.
5.7 No tracking. The App does not use your device's advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
6. EMAILS
6.1 Email measurement. Our email delivery provider may offer technologies that show whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. If we use them, we use the results only in aggregate to improve our emails. You can prevent open tracking by turning off automatic image loading in your email application.
7. YOUR CHOICES
7.1 Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Because the Website does not currently set its own cookies, blocking cookies will not affect your use of it, although it may affect third-party services you visit from it. Clearing your browser's local storage or site data for the Website removes any figures saved by the leak calculator, and blocking local storage means the calculator will not remember your figures between visits.
7.2 App settings. You can turn Anonymous Benchmarking on or off in the App's data settings, sign out, use "Delete all data", or delete your account under Settings, then Support, then Delete Account. You can also manage microphone and photo permissions in your device settings.
7.3 Device settings. Your device's operating system may offer additional privacy controls, such as limiting app tracking or resetting identifiers.
8. DO NOT TRACK AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL
8.1 Signals. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. Because we do not use cookies or similar technologies to sell personal information or for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no such processing for these signals to stop. If that changes, we will honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
9.1 Updates. We will update this policy before we introduce any new category of cookie or similar technology, and will post the updated policy on the Website with a new Effective Date. Where a change requires your consent, we will ask for it before the technology is used.
